So been a while since I blogged here - new job, new activities - and the quickness of facebook seem to chip away at longer blog posts. I still enjoy though writing and guess I'll get my chance when I start back school end of August. I start a MLIS - as well as the full time job and the two wonderful kiddies and my hubbie to all keep up on. However I do have advantage as I work EST hours for VA area - even though I'm on west coast - so I start at 6am and finish by 3 - so gives me two hours to do school work/exercise/laundry/cook dinner etc - all those errands before I get the kiddos - they are at a new daycare for the summer. We like her a lot but I know the boys will look forward to going back to seeing their Catherine again as shes like family. Me - I'm doing grand - I dont say a diet anymore as now its just a way of life - low calorie, low carb, low fat and higher protein - its working and I also feel so much more energetic. Race Day

 
Heres my Dad and hubbie at the St Patricks Day Race - my Dad pushing the stroller with F1 and F2 walking came 2nd in his age group - to say hes a fast walker is an understatement. Hubbie ended up jogging beside him just trying to keep up

So far we have done a 5K every month since January and we do one next week! Yeah!

Queen Borg

So you know that you're a geek when you tell your husband that QueenBorg is available.. I have the handle on Facebook and Twitter and he runs to get his laptop and goes and gets the domain for you. I've been slacking in posting here - facebook is a lot easier but I'll do a better job. Whats new? Well two kids now - age 3.5 and 15 months and both doing grand. I start a new job in May, I just got accepted to my MLIS program in fall and I'm now half the person I was after losing weight and also now doing a 5K every month this year. Exciting and the changes are really just bringing me back to me. I finally feel back to being myself and glad I have my hikingviking partner to share it all. Expect more QueenBorg ;-)

Interesting article on lines in Quran often touted as proof as a
reason to 'fear' all muslims. Easy to take any religious text out of
context/history.The old/new testament also manipulated to show just
cause for murdering innocents in WW2/crusades. Do terriorists exist?
Yes of course. Plenty evil done in name of a 'religion'. Should I fear
all from a religion for the sake of poisoned few? No, I would hope
that in time like other conflicts, the moderates win out.

Prayers

Talking to F1 at bedtime about prayers. What's prayers he asked. It's
thanking God for all our blessings like our family, friends, being
well, roof over our heads and our meals and praying for people who
need our help and prayers. We thank God, he asked. Yes we do I said.
But I said thank you to you for the chocolate already Mammy.

Happenings

Been ages since I blogged here. Well we are having a lovely summer and
I'm getting fitter and getting ready to go back to work and F2 is
doing great with his hereidtary spherecytosis. We don't have to see
specialists for a couple of months yeah! He's napping in pics below.

Went to happy hollow for walk with wee guy. He seemed to like the

Sailing

Have not posted here in a while. Had a lovely Mothers day weekend. We
sailed around S F bay and my eldest loved it as did I. Under Golden
Gate and around all the North Bay. Food and music on board. Great wee
trip
